皇家與白襪3連戰第3場，溫杜拉（YordanoVentura）這回表現沉穩，不再像上回先發對巴爾的摩金鶯隊，一怒以觸身球對付打者的血氣，主投7局三振白襪打者10人次，最快球速飆99哩。
8局皇家換艾雷拉（Kelvin Herrera）中繼，9局換戴維斯（Wade Davis）關門，他又送給白襪2個三振，總計白襪這場比賽被三振12人次。
投手表現穩定，打擊也有佳作，首局莫拉萊斯（Kendrys Morales）的1壘安打跑者奔回本壘，皇家先馳得點，2局梅里斐德（Whit Merrifield）再追加1支安打皇家2比0領先。
6局下，白襪靠著阿布瑞烏（Jose Abreu）的陽春全壘打追回1分，不過9局上皇家捕手培瑞斯（SalvadorPerez）也揮全壘打，皇家3比1領先至終場。
